Digital Grain Size Web App

This is a free tool, working through your web browser, to calculate the particle size distribution of grains within digital photographs of sediment and other granular material. This is an implementation of the method of Buscombe (2013). Log in, upload your images, and download your particle size statistics. Source code currently available in Matlab and Python.


PyHum

Software for reading, processing and analysis of low-cost sidescan data. Source code available in Python/Cython.

Sand Simulation Toolbox

Software for generating 3D discrete particle models consisting of realistic particles (with a size- and shape-distribution) with user-defined properties. Source code available in Matlab.


LOBOS

Software to control the Limnological and Oceanographic Benthic Observation System (LOBOS). Consists of a multi-touch screen application to view and control a custom underwater camera system, interfacing with GPS and echosounder. Source code available in Python/Kivy.
